Aussie News: New Holden VE Series II Commodore range runs on bio-ethanol

A big step toward a greener environmental! The new Holden SV6 sedan that bio-ethanol to run the engine is expected to be launched by the Holden Company, an Australian automobile company, in late September this year. This sedan is the first Australian-made car that relies on bio-ethanol. The bio-ethanol fuel will be manufactured using by-product created during the processing of wheat, sugar and sorghum. The ethanol is then blended with 15 % of petrol. In concomitant with the launching of this green vehicle, Fuel retailer Caltex will start selling the E-Flex high-ethanol blended fuel at 31 outlets in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra from October.

  1. It really seems to be great for this introduction. A further step towards greener technology. However, 31 outlets which provide refuelling for bio ethanol seems to be insufficient to cater the need. It is a bit troublesome for consumers to search for refuelling stations as well. Should improve...lol...xD..I personally support FUEL CELL CAR!!hooray....
